Welcome to our beginner-friendly Foundation Yoga class, where we blend movement with breath to enhance your mind-body connection. Join us in a safe and supportive environment as we guide you through foundational postures and movement patterns, fostering strength and flexibility. The classes draw from a modified/accessible Hatha Flow series, incorporating pranayama and mindfulness practices to deepen your practice. If you have ever hesitated to join a yoga class due to concerns about needing extra instruction, fear not - this class is designed for you. Expect a caring and fun experience, with ample opportunities to tailor the practice to your level of comfort. Remember stepping onto your mat is often the hardest part. Come as you are, and let us embark on this transformative journey together! This is a revitalizing workshop for body, mind and spirit. By staying in the present moment with pranayama breath (yogic breathing) you will bring the body and mind into deep relaxation. You will move slowly through your body with gentle massaging of all muscles while connecting your breath with every movement to stay in the present moment. You will also experience chanting of mantras, yoga asanas, and at the end of your practice a guided meditation for more relaxation. All of these simple techniques can be brought into everyday life for refreshing and renewing the whole body and being.
All classes start with Pranayama Breath & end with Relaxation. Classes are for ALL LEVELS and Gentle style yoga practise. (Hatha, Yin and Restorative Yoga.)
Each Class I will bring my energy tool belt to guide the hour. Start out with some gentle movements to relieve stress & tension in the body. I will guide these healing circles with intuition and what Spirit channels with what the class needs and provide tools you can use to help heal inward. Tools we will use in the circle will be Pranayama Breathe, Chanting, Toning, Guided Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Yoga Stretching. **All levels welcome*
